2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali

Colorado Springs, ColoradoReported 1 month agoby Brett

What happened

I was on the interstate, traveling at 75+MPH. The motor was above 3K RPM, and sounding like it was over working. Backing off the accelerator, the truck shifted to the next gear, but applying the accelerator down shifted, and RPMs returned to +3K. "Engine Oil Hot / Idle Engine" error was displayed. Truck shifted itself to Neutral, and I coasted to a stop on the Right shoulder. The engine seized, I achieved a stop, and put in park. Truck would not eletronically shift back into neutral when the tow truck came to collect the truck. I had a full car of Family, and our dog. We were stuck in the Texas heat for an hour waiting for the tow. (No A/C due to truck's seized motor)
